Netflix has begun the countdown to Stranger Things Day by unveiling new character posters for Matt and Ross Duffer’s highly anticipated Stranger Things 5. The final season, set to premiere later this month, comes with a wave of excitement as fans prepare for Thursday’s celebration filled with exclusive content and previews.
To mark the occasion, Netflix released detailed key art posters highlighting the main characters, giving viewers a closer look at the people who have defined the series over the past decade.
“We spent a full year filming this season,” Ross Duffer said during Netflix’s major 2025 lineup presentation. “By the end, we had captured over 650 hours of footage. So, needless to say, this is our biggest and most ambitious season yet. It’s like eight blockbuster movies. It’s pretty, pretty insane.”
“At the same time, we think it’s — or hope it’s — our most personal story,” Matt Duffer added. “It was super intense and emotional to film — for us and for our actors we’ve been with for so long. And we’ve been making it together for almost 10 years now. The show means so much to all of us, and everyone put their hearts and souls into it.”
The Duffers describe Stranger Things 5 as both a cinematic spectacle and an emotional conclusion to a series that has captivated audiences worldwide.
The countdown to Stranger Things Day begins with striking character art and insights from the Duffers, hinting at a final season that merges cinematic scale with heartfelt storytelling.
