The FTSE 100 firm is preparing to update investors following the departure of CEO Debra Crew in July and amid declining sales as many consumers reduce or avoid alcohol.
Diageo, owner of Johnnie Walker whisky and Smirnoff vodka, is committed to expanding sales through the trend toward moderation. Interim CEO Nik Jhangiani emphasized the opportunity to profit from moderate drinking despite the company's shares dropping by almost a third this year.
Since its launch in pubs in 2022, Guinness Zero has become the UK’s best-selling alcohol-free beer. The brand's popularity is so strong that it now represents 14% of all beer brewed at Diageo’s historic St James’s Gate Brewery in Dublin.
