Free agent center Precious Achiuwa has agreed to a deal with the Sacramento Kings, as reported by Shams Charania of ESPN. The move marks the beginning of Achiuwa’s sixth NBA season.
To make room for him, Sacramento plans to waive center Isaac Jones, who was in his second season with the team and averaged 1.0 points and 0.7 rebounds in limited minutes.
Achiuwa, a first-round selection in the 2020 NBA Draft, was taken 20th overall by the Miami Heat. Before joining the Kings, he was waived by Miami ahead of the 2025–26 season. Over five NBA seasons with the Heat, Raptors, and Knicks, he has appeared in 320 regular-season games, averaging 7.6 points and 5.7 rebounds in about 20 minutes per game.
Last season with the New York Knicks, he played 66 games, starting 10 of them, and recorded averages of 6.6 points and 5.6 rebounds.
Donatas Urbonas of BasketNews noted that several EuroLeague clubs had also shown interest in the 26-year-old forward.
Precious Achiuwa continues his NBA career with the Sacramento Kings after stints with the Heat, Raptors, and Knicks, bringing solid frontcourt depth to his new team.
