A full-size, hand-built reproduction of the Spitfire MK IX will serve as a powerful tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of those who have served in conflicts past and present this Remembrance Sunday.
The unique reproduction aircraft will be exhibited in Millennium Place, Durham City, on Sunday, 9 November, from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
In 2025, the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain are commemorated. To honor these milestones, Armed Forces Champion, Cllr Andrew Harrison, aimed to create a meaningful tribute.
