Flinders Port Holdings (FPH) entered a specially designed float in this year’s National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant in Adelaide, showcasing the crucial role maritime trade plays in delivering festive joy to South Australians.
The Christmas Pageant, a cherished tradition since 1933, marks the start of the Christmas season in South Australia. Thousands of spectators of all ages gather along Adelaide’s streets to watch the event, which begins at 9:30am on Saturday, 8 November with the sound of the golden whistle.
“We are thrilled to finally unveil our FPH float,”
“Our float celebrates the vital role maritime trade plays in bringing festive joy, and presents, to South Australians each year.”
“Our float is particularly special—it's the first custom-built float to join the pageant in five years, proudly featuring a replica of one of our Pilot boats, alongside a crew of straddle carriers, containers, and FPH elves ticking off Christmas gifts.”
“The blue fabric ruffle below adds the perfect finishing touch, creating the illusion of the Pilot Boat gliding through water.”
FPH officially launched the float at Outer Harbor earlier this week, with some FPH elves joining the festivities.
The float highlights Flinders Port Holdings’ commitment to celebrating maritime trade’s essential contribution to South Australia’s festive season through a creative and engaging display.
