A suspicious package containing white powder was delivered to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, causing multiple people to fall ill and prompting the hospitalization of several individuals, CNN reported on Thursday.
The package was opened inside a building on the base, which led to the evacuation of that building and an adjacent structure. A secure perimeter was established around the area as a precaution.
