Adelaide Metro Offers Free Bus Rides During Christmas Pageant
Adelaide Metro is spreading festive cheer by providing free travel on all buses, trains, and trams from 6am to 2pm on Saturday, November 8. This initiative helps families attend the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant without worrying about driving or parking.
The free travel offer returns in 2025, allowing thousands of South Australians to enjoy the state's most beloved annual event. The Christmas Pageant is the largest public street parade in the southern hemisphere, attracting over 300,000 visitors last year.
Additional Transport Services
- Extra buses and trains will operate throughout the morning to accommodate the large crowds.
- Additional substitute buses will run along the Glenelg tram corridor due to ongoing upgrade works.

"Adelaide Metro is so pleased to provide free public transport to help children and families get to the city for the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant," said spokesperson Michelle Spagnoletti. "We'll have additional services running on the day, so hop on board and leave the car at home."
