Vecna is back, and he’s after Will. Our adventures in Hawkins will soon come to an end — but not just yet. Stranger Things has been renewed for a fifth season. While it’s almost time to say goodbye, there’s still more to come, thanks to the Demogorgon.
"Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for Stranger Things," Matt and Ross Duffer wrote in an open letter to fans, per the Hollywood Reporter. "At the time, we predicted the story would last four to five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four, but - as you’ll see for yourselves - we are now hurtling toward our finale."
It’s bittersweet but probably the best timing, as the young cast has grown considerably. Fans are eager to see what’s next for both the actors and the Duffer Brothers—possibly even a Stranger Things spin-off, which Variety suggests could be in development.
Stranger Things season 5 launches in late 2025, concluding the planned story arc with a three-part release schedule and teasing potential spin-offs from the Duffer Brothers.
