Many may remember Young Bleed, born Glenn Clifton Jr., for his hit single "How You Do Dat" and his connection with No Limit Records. On October 25th, Clifton performed at the Cash Money - No Limit Verzuz concert in Las Vegas. Hours after the event, he was rushed to the hospital following a collapse.
Clifton's mother, Florida Allen, explained the cause of his critical condition:
"Before they could get to him, he was out of oxygen for a while, and that's when they told us that he had no life in the brain."
She revealed that he had suffered a brain aneurysm which led to cardiac arrest. Clifton passed away on November 1st at the age of 51, survived by his mother and five children.
His son, Ty'Gee Clifton, shared his grief:
"Nobody ever expected him to, you know, not come home; he's never not done that."
His family said Clifton had no known health problems except for high blood pressure. Reflecting on his passing, Allen said:
"I'm going to miss him, I'm not mad because he is gone, he left doing what he loved doing."
Clifton began his rap career in Baton Rouge, joining the hip-hop group "Concentration Camp," formed in 1995.
He was celebrating with friends after the concert and even performed again before collapsing as the night ended.
