Two Stunning Poppy Displays Installed in Loughborough Ahead of Remembrance Sunday

Charnwood is located centrally within the triangle formed by Nottingham, Leicester, and Derby. Over one third of its population of more than 155,000 live in the vibrant university town of Loughborough.

Two poignant poppy displays have been set up in Loughborough as the town prepares to honor its fallen heroes on Remembrance Sunday. These displays are located on trees in Queen’s Park and the Forest Road Greenbelt, with each tree adorned with about 6,500 handmade, knitted poppies.

The project was led by Loughborough in Bloom and the Forest Road Greenbelt Gardeners, supported by volunteers and local individuals. The poppy-adorned trees were prepared ahead of the Remembrance Sunday service in Queen’s Park on Sunday, 9 November.
