Cloud Streaming Launches on PlayStation Portal

Starting November 5 at 6pm PT / November 6 at 2am GMT, PlayStation Portal officially introduces Cloud Streaming for select PS5 games for PlayStation Plus Premium members. This update allows players to stream digital PS5 games directly from their library without needing a PS5 console.

Enhancements Since November 2023

Since its initial release in November 2023, the PlayStation Portal remote player has seen multiple updates, including improved public Wi-Fi support and user experience enhancements. Last year, the Cloud Streaming beta enabled access to certain PS5 titles via the PlayStation Plus Game and Classics Catalogs.

New Features and Game Support

Now, thousands of PS5 games, including popular titles like Astro Bot, Borderlands 4, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Fortnite, Ghost of Yōtei, Grand Theft Auto V, and Resident Evil 4, support Cloud Streaming on the Portal device.

"At PlayStation, we’re always working to push the boundaries of how players experience games."

PlayStation Plus Premium members benefit from the convenience of streaming games instantly from their own digital library, expanding gameplay flexibility.

Summary

Cloud Streaming on PlayStation Portal marks a major update, enabling PlayStation Plus Premium users to seamlessly access thousands of PS5 titles straight from the cloud, enhancing remote gameplay experiences.
