Alexis Black, 32, a transgender woman from Los Angeles, gained national attention after a confrontation at Gold's Gym in Beverly Hills.
On Sunday, singer Tish Hyman publicly confronted Black in front of gymgoers, shouting about Black using the women's locker room.
"Grown men with big d**ks [are] in the women's locker room."
"And I want to make sure the girls know," Hyman screamed as she was being removed from the gym.
Black, who previously went by Grant Freeman, stated she felt disrespected by the encounter but noted this was not the first time Hyman had confronted her.
"She didn't want to do introductions," Black told the Daily Mail.
Black began her hormonal transition in February before moving to Los Angeles. She has been using the women's changing room since starting estrogen and progesterone treatments. Although still having male genitalia, Black openly discusses her transition and has spoken with several women in the changing rooms at Gold's Gym, now owned by EoS Fitness.
This incident highlights ongoing tensions regarding transgender rights and privacy in public spaces.
