Jennifer Lawrence, the Academy Award-winning actress known for her roles in "The Hunger Games" and "Silver Linings Playbook," shared eerie experiences from her time filming "Causeway" in New Orleans. Speaking on the podcast Las Culturistas with hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, she described these encounters as unmistakably strange.
While shooting in New Orleans, Lawrence said she had to move accommodations several times before settling in a hotel. One morning, she heard what seemed to be a housekeeper entering her room.
"As I got out from under the covers, the housekeeper apologized for waking me and left. Later I realized the door had been deadbolted, so no one could have come in,"
Lawrence admitted she might have been drifting in and out of sleep at the time, but she also remarked:
"I don't know, I just come from a world where we believe women."
Her experiences didn’t end there. While staying at a house during the same shoot, Lawrence said she was watching TV alone when she suddenly heard the kitchen doors repeatedly slam open and shut. She described the moment as one of several unsettling incidents during her stay in the Crescent City.
Lawrence also mentioned similar ghostly activity in Charlotte, North Carolina, referring to both sets of experiences as "really bad." Despite conceding possible rational explanations, she retained a strong sense of the supernatural about what she encountered.
