As if last night’s supermoon wasn’t enough of a celestial show, the Australian Space Weather Forecasting Centre (ASWFC) has issued an Aurora alert today, confirming an ongoing geomagnetic storm.
The alert states that the Aurora may be visible during local nighttime hours under clear conditions at high latitudes. When the ASWFC issued a similar alert on October 30, sightings were reported around midnight in Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales, and South Australia.
Bright and mesmerizing, the Aurora Australis is a spectacular natural phenomenon that captivates observers. Its northern counterpart, the Aurora Borealis, remains one of the most sought-after experiences worldwide.
"Only those who have witnessed the Northern Lights with their naked eyes can truly understand its ethereal magic."
