Each year, the Rogue Valley International–Medford Airport (MFR) invites locals to share their creativity through its annual sock design contest. The 2025 winner has now been selected.
This year's winning artist, Kris Tanner, created a vibrant design that highlights the essence of Southern Oregon. The artwork includes recognizable elements such as Jacksonville storefronts, Table Rock, pear orchards, the Rogue River, and the airport’s runway — all serving as iconic symbols of the Rogue Valley.
The artwork celebrates the beauty and spirit of the region, blending art and community pride.
Tanner’s design will be transformed into a pair of custom socks, available for purchase later this month at the airport’s gift shop. The contest has become a cherished local tradition, merging creativity, community engagement, and regional identity into a wearable memento for travelers.
