Bentley has unveiled a teaser image hinting at the shape of its first all-electric vehicle, a luxury SUV. The image shows distinct SUV contours, large wheels, and a long bonnet under a cloth covering.
"The world’s first true luxury SUV," according to Bentley, a brand based in Crewe, UK.
The electric SUV is expected to launch by the end of 2026, with deliveries set to start in 2027. Bentley reports rapid progress, with pre-production and prototypes undergoing a global performance testing program.
Bentley had initially planned to electrify its entire model range by 2030 under the ‘Beyond 100+’ strategy. However, due to weak demand for luxury electric vehicles, the parent company Volkswagen has scaled back these ambitions.
“With pre-production and prototype vehicles undergoing a global performance programme,” according to Bentley.
Bentley is selectively sharing details with its enthusiasts but remains tight-lipped on further specifics at this time.
Bentley is preparing to launch its first electric luxury SUV by 2026, featuring fast charging and refined design, though its full electric transition has been moderated due to market conditions.
