International Management Consultancy CYLAD Opens Office in Vienna

CYLAD, an international management consulting firm headquartered in Paris, has launched its tenth office globally in Vienna, Austria. The company employs over 150 consultants across multiple locations, including France, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, Sydney, and now Austria.

Strategic Expansion to Eastern Europe

Thomas Trautmann, a partner at CYLAD, explained that the new Austrian office responds to increasing client demand in the country and positions the firm to expand into Eastern Europe, with Vienna serving as an ideal base.

“The opening of our Austrian office reinforces our international presence and strategically positions us in the region – unlocking access to new markets and opportunities. Vienna’s geographic advantage will allow us to grow in the Central & Eastern European markets focusing on manufacturing, machinery and energy clients.”

Leadership and Expertise

The Vienna office will be led by Daniel Mader, appointed as the firm’s 19th partner. Mader joins CYLAD from Oliver Wyman and brings over 18 years of consulting and industry experience, particularly in the energy and process sectors.

Before Oliver Wyman, Mader worked at Strategy& and Kearney. Since 2018, he has advised various industrial clients on strategy development, performance transformation, and operational improvements across industries such as oil & gas, chemicals, utilities, and consumer goods.
