Vienna’s Hotel Savoyen is set to become the Sheraton Vienna in early 2027. Operated by MHP Hotel AG under a franchise agreement with Marriott International, this rebranding reflects the company’s growth strategy within Austria.
The hotel is located in Vienna’s diplomatic district, housed in the historic former Imperial Printing House. Before reopening as a Sheraton, the property will undergo extensive renovations to enhance its offerings.
The hotel will continue emphasizing spacious and functional hospitality to meet guest expectations.
This transition is supported by a long-term partnership between MHP Hotel AG and Mechelgasse 1 GmbH, the hotel's owner. The franchise deal with Marriott International integrates the hotel into a globally recognized premium brand network.
“We see great potential to further strengthen the market position of Hotel Savoyen through its repositioning as Sheraton Vienna. Vienna continues to benefit from strong international demand and dynamic tourism growth. We are grateful to Midstad for their trust and look forward to a successful collaboration.” – Jörg Frehse, CEO, MHP Hotel AG
Alongside this rebranding, Marriott is expanding in the DACH region with the upcoming launches of two Four Points Flex by Sheraton hotels in Östringen and Koblenz.
