South Korean Singer Hyuna Collapses on Stage in Macau

During her performance of the 2011 hit "Bubble Pop!" at the Waterbomb Macau music festival on November 9, South Korean singer Hyuna suddenly fainted on stage. Videos shared on social media show the 33-year-old artist collapsing mid-performance.

Two backup dancers quickly came to her aid, and a security staff member carried her off the stage, according to News.Az citing foreign media sources. This incident has renewed concerns about Hyuna’s health as fans await official updates.

Hyuna’s Apology and Update

Later on November 9, Hyuna posted on Instagram to apologise and reassure her fans. Addressing them in Korean, she wrote:

“I’m truly sorry. It was only a short time since my last performance, but I wanted to show you my best side.”

She mentioned having no memory of fainting and apologized to those who attended her Macau show, saying:

“I’ll try to build up my stamina and work hard consistently. It will be so great if everything goes my way, but I’ll try my best.”

Health Concerns Prior to the Incident

Hyuna, whose full name is Kim Hyun-ah and formerly part of K-pop groups like Wonder Girls, 4Minute, and Triple H, had previously caused concern among fans. On October 3, she posted on Instagram about her eating habits and weight struggles:

“Hyun-ah, you ate way too much. Let’s snap out of it and go on a strict diet. You liked being skinny, right?”
