A team from Scania’s company-owned Dandenong Branch has once again triumphed in the Australian National Top Team competition, claiming victory for the second consecutive year. Their win secures them a journey to Bangkok in early 2026, where they will compete in the Asian Regional Finals for a coveted place in the World Finals in Sweden.
Seven teams representing Scania’s Australian network of company-owned branches participated in the National Finals. These teams advanced after a knockout stage that featured eight additional competitors from across the country.
“Top Team is a global Scania initiative that celebrates and develops the professionalism of our service teams, strengthening technical capability, efficiency, and collaboration within our workshops,” said Stefan Weber, Director of Aftersales at Scania Australia, who oversaw the Top Team event held at Scania’s Campbellfield head office in late October.
The Dandenong team, led by captain Chris Chilver, took top honors for the second consecutive time. Chilver noted that this year’s competition was the toughest of the four he has participated in throughout his career.
“We had good team spirit; we weren’t discouraged if one station didn’t go our way. Knowing how challenging it would be, we focused hard. Each member handled the tasks that best suited their strengths, and we worked together effectively,” explained Chris.
Scania’s Dandenong branch team clinched another national title and will represent Australia at the 2026 Asian Regional Finals in Bangkok for a chance to reach the World Finals in Sweden.
