Jetstar restarts Adelaide to Melbourne Avalon route with $29 flights

Jetstar Restarts Adelaide to Melbourne Avalon Route with $29 Flights

Jetstar is expanding its Adelaide network by reintroducing flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport, offering promotional fares starting at $29. The service will resume on 26 March 2026, providing South Australian travelers with another convenient and affordable gateway to Victoria.

Flight Details and Availability

The low-cost airline plans to operate up to seven weekly return flights between Adelaide and Melbourne Avalon. This will create approximately 109,000 new low-fare seats annually, reconnecting South Australia with Victoria’s Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula, and Geelong regions.

The route, which was suspended before the pandemic, will be served by Jetstar's Airbus A320 aircraft.

Promotional Sale

To celebrate the relaunch, Jetstar is offering one-way fares starting at $29, available from 11:30am (ACDT) today. This limited-time promotion matches the airline’s launch prices from over 20 years ago and is expected to sell out quickly.

Statements from Jetstar CEO

“These new flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport provide South Australians with greater opportunities to take advantage of our low fares and are part of a significant increase in flights in and out of Adelaide this year,” said Jetstar CEO Stephanie Tully.

“It’s now easier and more affordable than ever to access Victoria’s popular Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula wine region, Geelong and Melbourne.”

Jetstar’s relaunch of this route offers South Australians enhanced travel options and increased connectivity to Victoria's key leisure destinations.
