From 10 to 13 November 2025, the 48th World Hospital Congress, organised by the International Hospital Federation (IHF), will be held at the Geneva International Conference Centre (CICG). The event focuses on the theme “Global learning, local action for every patient.”
The Geneva University Hospital (HUG) and the Canton of Geneva are hosting the congress, which gathers hospital executives and senior health managers from across the globe. Around 1,500 participants from over 80 countries are expected to attend.
The IHF uniquely offers hospital leaders worldwide a platform to build expertise and promote best practices in healthcare delivery. It supports hospitals and healthcare organisations in sharing real-world knowledge along with innovative, accessible, and sustainable solutions.
This is the first time the congress is held in Geneva, the headquarters of the IHF. Previously, Switzerland hosted the conference twice—in Lucerne in 1955 and Lausanne in 1983.
