The Queensland Police Service (QPS) is deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Ian Leavers APM, who served as Queensland Cross-Border Commissioner, former President of the Queensland Police Union of Employees (QPUE), and long-time QPS member.
Mr. Leavers was found deceased around 9:50 a.m. after officers responded to a residence in Mount Ommaney. Authorities have confirmed that his death is not being treated as suspicious, and investigations continue.
