Alison Roman’s LES Pop-Up Is Here for One Month—What to Try

Alison Roman has brought her beloved upstate grocery-café, First Bloom, to the Lower East Side for a special pop-up running through November 30. Located at Casetta, a cozy wine bar at 61 Hester Street, the pop-up operates Tuesday through Sunday, 11am to 9pm, offering both pantry gems and a café menu to enjoy while you explore.

Roman shared with Feed Me’s Emily Sundberg that she is “equal parts thrilled, excited and nervous to have a brick-and-mortar location in the city.” This pop-up captures the spirit of her Delaware County shop, making it a must-visit destination.

Roman said she’s "equal parts thrilled, excited and nervous to have a brick-and-mortar location in the city."

First Bloom originally opened last year in a former Table on Ten space and quickly became known as a charming, personality-packed "shoppy shop"—part pantry, part country store, and full of delightful surprises like unexpected tins of sardines.

This Lower East Side edition follows the same successful concept, bringing a touch of Bloomville to New York City without the need for a Metro-North trip.
