Dieselgate Trial Begins in the UK
A historic High Court case has started, with 1.6 million UK motorists seeking justice against major carmakers over alleged emissions cheating.
The lawsuit, the largest group claim in English and Welsh legal history, accuses five leading carmakers of cheating on emissions tests.

Vehicle owners claim that their diesel vehicles were equipped with "prohibited defeat devices" (PDDs) or cheat devices, designed to manipulate pollution results.

The court will hear the allegations over the next three months.
