Apple TV+ Rebranded with a New Name
Apple TV+ has been rebranded with a new name, making it more difficult to differentiate between the Apple TV streaming box, Apple TV digital media marketplace, and Apple TV+ streaming service.
The name change was quietly confirmed at the bottom of a press release announcing the streaming debut of F1: The Movie on December 12.
Streaming service name changes are nothing new, and we've seen rebrands even get walked back with the shift from HBO Max to Max and then back to HBO Max.
This change is likely to be confusing, especially since it was announced with minimal fanfare, unlike typical name changes which are usually accompanied by a bigger announcement.
Author's summary: Apple TV+ rebranded quietly.
