Demolition of Former Broadway Theater to Begin Soon
The former Broadway Theater building on South Broadway will be demolished after the Albert Lea City Council voted 5-0 to award the contract for the work.
The contract with Dulas Excavating Inc. of Wells is worth about $374,000 and includes demolition of 338 S. Broadway and its foundation, as well as removal and disposal of adjacent foundation walls at 324 and 332 S. Broadway.
Demolition is expected to begin as early as November 1.
