Madera High School's Memorial Stadium Renovation

Madera High's band is practicing on the field at Memorial Stadium for the last few days before a complete renovation.

"It's pretty exciting. We are pretty much taking the stadium down to the ground,"

said MUSD Deputy Superintendent Sandon Schwartz. The school board approved a $32 million bid for demolition and construction in September.

The renovation will include new locker rooms, restrooms, concession stands, field and track, as well as a new scoreboard, addressing ongoing issues such as crumbling stairways and outdated seating.

According to Schwartz, the updated stadium will be similar to the one at Torres High, with improvements including ADA ramps and new facilities.
