Wellington School District Explains Needs Ahead of $22M Bond Vote
Voters in Wellington will soon decide on a $22 million bond issue to address infrastructure needs throughout the district.
The Wellington school district says its middle school needs the most help, with repairs needed for the cafeteria walls and theater seating, as well as fixing extensive leaks.
“It’s going to help with some repairs with our main areas, our cafeteria walls. Our little theater is in much need of repair with seating, extensive leaks,”
said Wellington Middle School Principal Bob Meyer. If the bond doesn’t pass, the district won’t be able to make improvements, including new roofing for every district building that would last 30 years.
