Las Vegas traffic deaths have surpassed the goal of less than 125 deaths this year, with 127 people killed in traffic-related crashes as of October 12.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, this number is up from 123 people who died at the same time last year.
The latest deadly crash occurred on Sunday at the Ann Road and El Capitan Way intersection, involving a car and a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed.
Police said a car was crossing from a posted stop sign heading north on El Capitan through the intersection with Ann Road when a motorcycle hit the back of the car.
Metro Police do not suspect impairment by the driver of the car.
