Daniel Flynn, a 32-year-old Kildare footballer, has announced his retirement from intercounty football after a 13-year career.

"It feels like it has come to a natural end."
Flynn cited the challenges of traveling to Newbridge four times a week from Enfield, a journey of 45 or 50 miles each way, as a contributing factor to his decision.
