Opening of New Uvalde School Marks "Bittersweet Day"
A new school, Legacy Elementary, has been built to replace Robb Elementary, where 19 students and two teachers were killed in a mass shooting in 2022.
The school will welcome students on October and features bullet-resistant windows and key card access to classrooms.
A public ceremony was held to introduce the school to the community, following a private tour for families of the victims earlier in the week.
