Rivian is adding new charging features to its R1T and R1S electric vehicles to make life easier for owners on the road.
In the upcoming 2025.38 software update, the vehicles will gain Plug & Charge functionality at Electrify America and Ionna stations across the United States.
This means owners will be able to simply plug in, and the session will start automatically without having to pay at the site, as long as they have a payment method set up in their Rivian account.
No need to pay at the site, just plug in and go.
Additional features include real-time charger availability and charging scores, making it even more convenient for Rivian owners to charge their vehicles.
