Mariners Confirm Interim Boss After Coach's Shock Exit

The Central Coast Mariners have appointed an interim boss, five days after their treble-winning coach walked out.

Former Brisbane Roar coach Warren Moon, 43, has been named as the interim boss, following the unexpected departure of Mark Jackson.

"We have secured an interim coaching structure to guide the team while the appointment for a permanent head coach progresses,"

said Mariners CEO Greg Brownlow. Moon previously led Brisbane between July 2020 and February 2023 and coached Papua New Guinea between 2023 and 2024.

The appointment comes four days before the Mariners' A-League Men season opener against Newcastle on Sunday.
