Cats Missing After Fatal Crash Involving Animal Rescue Group
FurKids Animal Rescue, transporting cats from Atlanta to Vermont, was involved in a deadly crash on Interstate 85.
The group was 90 minutes into the trip, carrying 37 cats to a partner shelter, when the multi-vehicle crash occurred on Monday.
“We are devastated for the families affected, and our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with them,”
The driver of the shelter’s van was injured, suffering stitches and bruising. In the chaos, cages were crushed, and cats escaped.
