MG Malaysia Announces CKD Plant in Melaka
SAIC Motor Malaysia has announced its local assembly (CKD) plans for the MG marque in Malaysia.
The company has partnered with EP Manufacturing Berhad (EPMB) to manufacture MG vehicles at the EPMB assembly plant in Pegoh, Melaka.
SAIC Motor Malaysia Managing Director Emory Qi said that CKD operations for MG will officially begin in Q1 2026, with pilot production scheduled for December this year.
