Dramatic video captured the moment a concrete grain bin collapsed in Martinton, Illinois on Wednesday.
Several Facebook users posted video showing a grain bin spilling corn from about halfway up the silo. As it fell to the ground, it snapped power lines, causing a brief flash and spark.
Residents in Martinton are facing an extended power outage, according to the Iroquois County Emergency Management Agency.
An Ameren representative told the EMA office that the timeline for restoring electricity remains unknown, as the entire power line structure must be rebuilt.
