Major delays have occurred in railway services in Birmingham after a person died on a railway track between Birmingham New Street Station and Birmingham International.
The incident took place shortly before midday on Wednesday, October 15, at Marston Green Railway Station. Medics and police responded to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"We were called to Marston Green Station, Holly Lane, Birmingham at 11.48am following reports of an incident on the railway line. An ambulance and two paramedic officers responded. Sadly a pedestrian was confirmed deceased on scene."
A spokesperson for British Transport Police stated that officers were called at around 11:50 am to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
