Syrian customs and security officials at the Jdeidet Yabous border crossing intercepted an attempted smuggling of 40 bundles of cannabis from Lebanon, according to the General Authority for Land and Sea Border Crossings.
The seizure occurred after a thorough inspection of a suspicious vehicle entering the crossing.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts to prevent illegal drugs from entering Syria and protect public health.
This effort is a collaboration between the General Authority for Land and Sea Border Crossings and the Interior Ministry’s Anti-Narcotics Department.
