UAE Secures Crucial Win Over Oman in World Cup Playoff
The United Arab Emirates national football team secured a vital 2-1 victory over Oman in a crucial match held in Doha.
Oman opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a goal from Ali Al Busaidi. However, Marcos Meloni equalized for the UAE in the 76th minute, and Caio Canedo sealed the win with a decisive goal in the 83rd minute.
With this result, the UAE earned three points, topping the group and keeping their World Cup qualification hopes alive. They now face hosts Qatar in their final group match.
Oman remains with only one point, following their draw with Qatar in the opening round. Their chances of qualifying now appear slim.
