New MRE Items Coming Soon
Troops can expect new varieties of MREs next year, including Cuban-style beef picadillo with veggies, buffalo chicken, and red curry chicken and rice.

- Pork sausage patties
- Beef rectangles in liquid
will be replaced by new options. The Pentagon is also adding snacks like a s’mores "recovery bar" and freeze-dried chocolate peanut butter bites.
Energy chews and jells, caffeinated gum, and caffeinated jelly beans will replace coffee packets.
