Ryan and Jamie Madison Host Women, Land & Legacy Farm Tour
Ryan and Jamie Madison, first-generation farmers, hosted the 53rd Tama County Women, Land & Legacy event at their farm, Mad Acre Farms, in rural Gladbrook.
The event, held in late September, was initially billed as a chance to learn about high tunnel production, but it went beyond the basics, shedding light on the hard work required to turn an acre of Iowa soil into a successful small-scale market farm.
