Ace Frehley, Founding KISS Guitarist, Passes Away
Ace Frehley, the original KISS guitarist, has died at the age of 74, surrounded by his family in Morristown, New Jersey.
His family said: "We were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth."
Frehley was known for his "spaceman" persona and was a founding member of KISS, alongside Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, and Peter Criss, when the band started in 1973.
Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons stated: "We are devastated by the passing of Ace Frehley. He was an essential and irreplaceable rock soldier during some of the most formative foundational chapters of the band and its history."
