Williams Road Fire Near Burnet Reaches 90% Containment

The Williams Road Fire, located near Burnet, Texas, has reached 90% containment as of 8:59 p.m., according to the Texas A&M Forest Service.

Burnet County officials reported that all fire is contained within the established perimeter, with no evacuations or closures in effect. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, and no structures have been impacted.

Texas A&M Forest Service has established a 5-mile temporary flight restriction around the fire perimeter to ensure safe working conditions for aircraft crews.

Helicopters were utilized to collect waste from Inks Lake and drop it on the fire, as stated by officials from Inks Lake State Park. The fire did not spread to the state park.

"This incident is a good reminder of how quickly wildfires can spread and the importance of fire safety,"

said park officials on Facebook.
