The Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (Maha Metro) has shortlisted two firms to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed 20 km Shivajinagar–Kondhwa Metro corridor in Pune.
A spur line will extend to the NIBM area, and the proposal has been sent to the Central government for approval. The Union government will fund the study, which is expected to take three to four months.
“We've received three tenders and shortlisted two firms. The Centre will fund the DPR preparation. After approval, the selected agency will begin work immediately,”
a senior Maha Metro official said. The DPR preparation is pending final approval from the Central government.
