Temporary Order Blocks Controller Shake-up
Judge Malcolm Begay of the Navajo District Court issued a temporary restraining order on Friday, preventing President Buu Nygren from removing Controller Sean McCabe and installing an acting controller without consent from the Budget and Finance Committee.
The order, issued in response to a case filed by Speaker Crystalyne Curley, maintains the current status until a preliminary injunction hearing on October 27.
