Manchester City and Tottenham Chase River Plate's Lautaro Rivero
Manchester City have joined Tottenham Hotspur in pursuing River Plate's 21-year-old centre-back, Lautaro Rivero.
Earlier reports indicated Spurs and Atlético Madrid were interested in the player, with Tottenham sending scouts to watch him live in action.
- Manchester City, Juventus, and RB Leipzig have now joined the transfer race.
- River Plate are referring to Rivero's €100m release clause.
These clubs intend to start negotiations with River Plate over signing the youngster in January.
Rivero previously spent 18 months on loan at Central Córdoba before returning to River Plate last summer.
