Pan Pacific Open 2025: Rybakina Secures WTA Finals Spot
Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan has sealed her spot in the WTA Finals by reaching the semifinals of the Pan Pacific Open 2025.
Rybakina, the former Wimbledon champion and number two seed in Tokyo, defeated Canada's Victoria Mboko in the quarterfinals.
She will face sixth seed Linda Noskova of the Czech Republic in the semifinals on Saturday.
Rybakina joins an elite field in Saudi Arabia, including Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Amanda Anisimova, Madison Keys, Jessica Pegula, and Jasmine Paolini, who secured the seventh spot by reaching the semifinals in Ningbo last week.
Rybakina was in a tight battle for the last WTA Finals spot with Russia's Mirra Andreeva.
