With car prices rising, more people in the Las Vegas Valley are turning to used cars as an affordable option.
However, consumer attorneys warn that if not careful, a "good deal" could end up costing thousands.
"This car had 13,200 miles on it and looked in excellent shape," said Marie Sepian, a local who purchased a used 2024 Honda Civic. "I asked them if it had been in an accident, and he swore there were no accidents."
Despite the dealer's assurance, Sepian later discovered the car had major structural damage, which she claims was not disclosed.
Consumer attorneys advise caution when buying used cars to avoid costly surprises.
