Sixteen individuals are presumed dead after an explosion in Hickman County, according to Sheriff Chris Davis.
The number of unaccounted individuals decreased from 18 to 16, after two people believed to be on site were found to be safe. The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency reported this update.
Sheriff Chris Davis of the Humphreys County Sheriff's Office confirmed that over 300 people have searched the property, but no survivors have been found. The families of all 16 presumed dead have been notified.
Officials from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are still investigating the cause of the explosion. The State Emergency Operations Center in Nashville is activated to coordinate assistance and resources for local authorities.
No survivors have been found at this time.
